I want to really see how the Marksman 1010 is really. So, if anyone in the toronto area has one that they are trying to get rid of, I will take it. I will pay you if you want money. I could go to crappy tire but i don't want to pay full price. Meet-up and hand delivery is mandatory for this deal so it would be easier if you lived in or close to toronto.

It is seriously a gun for little kids. It's rated at 200fps MAX, which means it's more like 150 fps, the barrel of that thing is like 2 cm long. You'd be better off using a sling shot.

I am planning to tweak with it to get about 300FPS. I prefered a used one because it is cheaper.

Maybe, but it is still worth a try. However, at 20 odd bucks, I can't loose that much.

You WILL lose 20 bucks.

Save the twenty and put it towards something better.

Those guns are crap, don't waste your time with them, just my opinion though.

Well if the guy wants to tweak, by all means go for it. But $20 aint that far off a cheap, used Chinese breakbarrel... more worth it IMO.

Cheers,
Alex

I've broken 2 of them repeaters. Once you open the gun, you pretty much can't get it back together in the same way before, some tiny springs are impossible to get in. The spring unit for it is also closed inside a guide thats variable. There is no way to remove the spring without damaging the piston chamber and the piston head at the same time.

You sure you can't do mail? I've got one I don't want... Also, Plink-Panther has a Marksman 2000, which is the same gun (I think), that's he's trying to get rid of.

He sold that one to me. In case people are wondering, I personally like to make the worst things better. From what I hear, the marksman 1010 is pretty much as bad as air pistols get.

You gotta be able to open an air gun without destroying it to be able to improve it. With some wood and ingenuity you could build a better pistol than the 1010.
