I know the barrel look bent but it's not. The breach seal is gone, it just need a thick brand new o-ring to shim the space in the hinge, then the barrel will be in straight line with the cylinder.

Very nice oldie there. Love that stock

Is the end cap at the rear of the compression tube rounded ? Sure looks like it ... The trigger looks unique as well. As well the breach block narrows to the barrel, which is out of the ordinary ...

Could I trouble you for a close up photo of the end cap and trigger ?

cheers :drinkers:

In the cylinder I've found 3 nails, half a screw head and some unknown particles

thanks for posting that :D

Trigger blade is definitely different must be due to its age. I would have to say you might need to replace that piston seal

End cap looked rounded but is indeed the flat one. Might have your work cut out for you on that piston head and seal, from what I have seen they usually had a leather seal plus an inner washer and a rivet.

Thanks again

What you did as a kid when you were out of ammo?

Find things that fits in

This one fortunately have a screwed in piston seal. I will buy a synthetic seal kit, maybe a new spring and it will shoot like a brand new 50 years old springer!

But I need to find those parts to completely restore it :

Front stock screws
Front guard screw
Rear guard screw
Rear sight blade
Rear sight elevation screw
Front sight hood

And maybe a trigger guard, this one is pretty beat up...

I also need a piston and a front sight hood for my Slavia 624

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

About the nails, I've learn today that back then they used nails to shim the leather seal. From what I've read it's not uncommon to find nails in old springer seal.

This is what I'll use to convert it from leather to a synthetic seal :

http://scopesandammo.com/storefront/product_info.php/piston-seal-replacement-unit-p-851

or

http://vortekproducts.com/ourstore/Seals-Tuning-Parts?product_id=97

I'm not sure that the one from Scopes And Ammo will fit in my threaded piston, seems more like a rivet conversion. I'll look around to find the way to know the thread specs. If I remember I saw a kind of stencil at Canadian Tire to measure threads. Unfortunately I can't find a conversion kit to convert my 22mm Slavia 624 seal. Anyway I need a piston for this one... Or I may try to repair the one I have.

But about this Telly that I started this topic for. It's obvious now that's a Telly but did they made only one model? I doubt... So what model/year is this one?

well there are many different vairents so nailing down a specific model is sometimes challenging. Dating it would be tricky as well as they had a long run of production. Maybe someone could help you using the serial number

Take a look at this thread here, although I am not sure if the model numbers are correct it gives you an idea of the variety out there. The one that looks most like yours is the LG822, but I am just assuming yours is a .177 ??
http://www.network54.com/Forum/405945/t ... e+talk+FEG

Although it could be simply an LP25 or Telly 200, as an older run without the stock grooves. There isn't a ton of available information available for these eastern block oldies.
