so i have a new Crosman TR 77 that seems to be grouping ok. i just tightened up the main pivot screw. it was not as tight as i would have liked. but i digress...
while the rifle is out of the stock i would like to remove the bear trap so i can uncock the rifle without having to send lead down the barrel.

so i am looking at two options:\

1)remove the pin that sticks out from the trigger on the left side?
can i do that???

2)or cut off the tab that sticks up on that bar thing?

how do you guys do it???

thanks in advance

You scared me........at first I thought you were maybe outdoors and got stumbled upon a trapper's snare.

I thought to myself, "That's one tough dude that posts that he's caught in a bear trap!!!"

In all fairness you should explain how you did it. Sharing info strengthens our forum.

Voltar: The way to do it imo is to completely remove it, which is probably what he did. I think they are highly annoying. I also discard the safety because they are even more annoying, and imo dangerous. I spoze I can't say I recommend that to just anyone, but it is an option. I either remove, disable, or simply never use them on any gun, air or fire.

I never use safeties, and remove them from the Gamo trigger clone guns. I leave the beartrap alone though.
With most air rifles no bear trap and a light trigger could mean no fingers.

I HATE auto safeties.
