A high fill pressure for AA S510 with a regulator.
It starts at 3:10 and ends at 3:55.

50 regulated shots - pretty nice. Sounded logical concerning the air pressure. I think Air Arms might be contacted to see what they say.

This South African fellow knows his AA S510. The Robert Lane regulator is one that's often used in that PCP.

AA says 200bar max...they put it on the cylinder. If you think you or some guy off the interwebs know more about that rifle than the folks who designed it, built it and tested it....then I guess you have your answer.

Personally, would take AA's word for it and stick with the max recommended fill pressure of 200bar. These things are safe...until you do something stupid or irresponsible.

Normally I wouldn't comment on a topic like this, however in this case I feel compelled. The manufacturer of the gun and the manufacturer of the tube, are not one in the same. So as often happens, the manufacturer of the tube, builds in a safety margin, then quotes a little lower than that, to potential cunsumers, just to be sure. Then sometimes, the consumer, if its a retailer, will place their own safety margin, even lower, just to be sure, to avoid future law suits. Airgun Lab proved just how much more pressure a tube can handle above manufacturer specs. But !!! we must consider the manufacturing process used by Air arms as well. How deep the threads are, and how many, reduces the tube manufacturer specs, and since Air arms likely builds their own components , not just the tube but the fill port valve and pressure gauge and valve, all have to be considered. However to answer Ed,s question ? At the end of the day, its always your own choice. Do you want to risk injury, or possible damage to your Expensive gun, just for a few more shots, or less fills ? Also by upping the pressure that extra fifty bar, will reduce the number of times you fill the gun, BUT,,it decreases the number of fills you're able to get from your tank. If you have a pump, that,s not an issue.

Somehow missed this until.now.
Something people in their attempts at over pressuring beyond manufacturer specs fail to understand.
Fatigue cycling multiplys considerably outside manufacture specs and beyond what was engineered into the construction. This is information that is not priveleged to the consumer/ end user.
An example here in North America is in the construction of SCUBA and SCBA vessels where as per some manufacturers must pass 10 000 refill cycles and are tested upon each manufactured batch the facility produces. Only the airgun engineers know as to what was tested upon their products. Just SAFETY food for thought upon this topic.

When I was in commutation With Mr. Robert Lane and his regulate.
The subject came up on AA air tube and was informed he was part of the design and testing of air tube for AA airguns at the time.
He said the air tub had been tested to 275 bar but in no way was he recommending to go farther than a Max of 210 bar .
He felt 210 bar WITH regulate was a very safe level with enough safety margin build in , and said very sternly to NEVER push it past this.

So that is what I pressure my s510 to 210 bar only , just not worth getting hurt for a few more shots.
Be size I get a great well controlled FPS to 50 shots.

Take a look at this
