Does any one know if the prod,1720,1701p tube have the same id as the 22xx,discovery tubes? Also does the transfer port hole in the prod,1720,1701 breeches line up with the 22xx,disco tubes.I also need need the od of the big section of the prod,1720,1701 bolt if they are the same size.I want to mount a 1720 with single shot tray breech onto my disco that will be .30 cal if I can ever get a barrel and be able to put a mrod shroud on it
Any help would be appreciated

Yes, the tubes are all the same ID, 0.745".... I don't know about the transfer port location, the PRod breech is different than the Disco....

Thanks Bob
Yes The prod,1720,1701 breeches use 4 screws to attach to the tube.Looking at the diagram on crosman web site on these pistols the valves look the same as the disco but the transfer port is not inline with the valve retaining screw like the disco. The tp is further forward toward the muzzle on the pistol valves.Plus the pistol valves have 2 screw holes for the front breech attachment screws.

That's a no-no. Shrouded barrel are usually frowned upon in Canada.

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

The RR isn't shrouded, the actual barrel goes to the end of the gun :P
The Benjamin Trail series are shrouded

The barrel will extend to the end of the shroud so as not to be considered a silencer like my 2260.

There are 2 different types of shrouds that I know of.There is the barrel shroud which may completely encircles the barrel to prevent the user from burning the hand on a hot barrel but does not extend past the muzzle of the barrel. This is intended for a powder burner but on an airgun is purely cosmetic and not illegal in Canada.
Then there is the muzzle shroud that completely encircles the barrel and extends past the muzzle of the barrel. This would reduce the sound level of the gun and be considered a silencer in canada. This is NOT a no no,this is NOT frowned upon,Its illegal!!!
The way I intend to use the m rod shroud it will not extend past the muzzle of the barrel. It is intended to help make the 24'' barrel more ridged and cosmetically more appealling then having a little 15mm od barrel sticking out from the guns breech. The barrel/shroud combo will have the same od as the air tube.Im sure you have seen this done numerous times on this fourm and legal to do as it is not reducing the sound level of the gun.
Anyways thanks doc for taking the time to post and pointing that out.Very helpful.
