in reasonable condition preferably the target pro version with diopter sights so I can play in the 953 challenge. I realize optics are being used but the operative word is challenge.

I searched high & low and this is the only place claiming to have it in stock... I would phone to confirm though...

I came to the same results as well. Shame this model has been discontinued.

Looks like it has been renamed and a more expensive sight added.

The 735 has the upgraded Lothar Walther barrel. Otherwise I bet they are the same. I'm considering the alternatives but I prefer the 953 for the challenge. The upgraded barrel versions has a distinct accuracy advantage. Perhaps my poor shooting skill would cancel that out?

Thanks for the info

Can't say I'm surprised to see this. No time has passed since Gamo bought Daisy and immediately they found a clever way to sextuple the cost of Daisy's flagship gun (sorry Red Ryder you're not no. 1 in my list). Where I welcome the addition of the diopter sights over the totally useless fibre optics that came stock with the 953, adding a LW to a gun that's remarkably accurate makes about as much sense as someone adding an air conditioning system to an igloo. But hey, they have to find clever ways to justify the huge mark up on what is the exact same gun that's been selling on TLC for $65 with a 3-9x scope. And a mass produced LW barrel for this gun that's likely made in China has me questioning how much better this could possibly be over the 953's already remarkably decent barrel. Gamo's marketing dept deserves high marks for this gimmick.

With that said, if anyone reading this happens to buy this revamped 953 for the whopping cost of 300 bux and has no use for the diopter sights, please let me know. I'd be interested in buying it.

The $65 part is a bit painful to me but I'm late to the show.

FYI, I emailed their sales department. The email returned as un-deliverable.
