Will anything other than having a lighter trigger pull happen if I install a lighter trigger spring in my 2240?

as long as its not too weak or too short you'll be fine. If it is too weak your gun might fire when you do not want it to, or not cock at all.

Just did it!!! Yay!! The trigger is so smooth and light and...sexy. What I did was take the stock trigger spring out of my 1389 (which was a little bit lighter to start with), put the 2240 spring in the 1389, and put the 1389 back on the shelf. Then I got the 1389 spring, and stretched it out a little. (Yeah, I know, crude, but it works  ) Then I cut off a centimeter or so, and installed it in the 2240. It's awesome!!! :supz: This is what modding is all about!! Isn't the 22xx series the best?!? :prayer:

I personally like the stock trigger. It may be hard and short pull, but that's the way I like it :D The good thing to this is I dont have to hold my breath for too long. :D
