My wife has promised to come out and have a go at shooting in an FT Competition with me next spring. I decided that it might be a good idea to take her to my studio and familiarize her with my rifle.

I set up at 25 yards (my zero distance) I showed her the FT seated position and let her have at it. Guys, we may be in trouble. I put up the first target and she took 2 shots missing the 1/2 inch dot on her first go and hitting it second try. I then pinned up a 500ml water bottle cap and she drilled it. Next I put up the target with the red dot...oh my I better practice.

Now you've done it. You'll never get your hands on your guns again :)

That is very impressive! Please don't tell me she did that with an 11.5ft/lb springer sans harness... :(

Getting her involved means you spend your time looking after her and your fun goes out the door.

Unless she "gets it" but just doesn't want to make it her hobby.

I got my wife shooting, she doesn't do it much, but she now understands where I'm coming from.

Now when it comes down to motorcycles, definitely a bad idea..

You definitely do not know Canshooter's wife.

Pretty decent shooting from the Mrs. there Canshooter! & tell her I said so. I for one am not inclined to discourage, and also think that FT could benefit from more female shooters, and more Junior shooters. It really can be a family outing ya know.
My wife isn't interested iN the least, but I know she understands why I like it & I'm sure she would encourage the nephews when they're old enough.

FT needs more FAMILIES.
