NEVER a minivan. With two kids, one large and 2 smaller dogs it would be the right thing to do but I'll never buy a minivan.
I bought a Suburban, it costs more in gas but I don't do much mileage, work is a 15 min drive so it's not really a concern + it's a lot more fun to drive.

Pic #3; an ancient mountainbike, one I used to race in the early 80's. Still a good bike, so no reason to change. I've driven a couple of times, last time was in 91 or so, but I don't like driving. Freaks me out being in control of a big bucket of bolts like that, so cheaply made and sluggish to steer and stop. Perhaps I'd drive if I had a small and extremely well made electric sports car... but maybe that'll be my 'retirement' vehicle, for when I'm far enough down the backside of the hill that smashing into a tree won't bother me so much.
