Or use weed wacker mono line ,melt one end with a lighter and slip patch down the cord.

I tried that and ended up with it stuck in the barrel.

Airguns are like cats. People think that they'll be fine alone, but they really need company. And don't you want your airguns to be happy?

did anyone tried to remove some weight from the piston :?: would it make a noticeable difference :?:

Do NOT lighten the piston, you will simply loose velocity, there is gain to doing this. If anything you want more weight, but, keep in mind this will make your shot cycle slightly more harsh/violent as well.

I had a tuned Phantom with heavy tophat and it would shoot 720-730FPS with 14.3's, but it was quite harsh to shoot. One time for fun I shimmed the spring to coil bind when cocked, removed .005" and got it to shoot a max of 762FPS before blowing the spring after the 4th shot

IIRC it was the heavier tophat that got me from 680-690FPS up to 720-730FPS
