Come on Rick the handle looks very professional :axe: , I should make it longer so I can carry the trap just like a laptop bag

The duct seal on the back wall of my trap made it back heavy and it would fall over backwards.
So you either had to have it up against a wall or supporting object, or install a support onto the trap.
I bolted on an L bracket to the back of my trap.

Mine does not do that, as you can see in the pictures, this trap is very well made and does not fall even after been hit by a pellet, but if it starts falling down i will screw its cover to the bottom of the box or bolt an L bracket just as you did, thanks for the tip

 Why not go all-out and make two straps out of duct tape and sling it on your back like a rucksack!

Hi,

When I made my first pellet trap I used the bottom half of an old tool box and filled it with the duct seal. My wife offered me her old baking pan, and I made a second pellet trap also using the duct seal. I just press on the paper target and it sticks until the shooting is done!

The other target blocks are for my archery shooting!

When I first read this post in April, I thought the idea was brilliant. I high-tailed it down to my local Home Depot, spent 15 minutes with three staff members and finally located the duct seal. Having located that, I headed over to electrical to look for a similar box to bring back to the plumbing dept. to estimate the number of blocks of seal I would require. No such animal, and I have been looking ever since. If anyone has seen such a box, please give me a shout and point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

Ask for a pull box. If the big box stores don't have them check your electrical supply shop.

Look where they have the fuse panels and large junction boxes
The people youasked will most likely be looking where they have back/gang boxes and utility boxes but they are too small.

Hi,

I went through the same hassle of trying to find an electrical box for my pellet trap. The baking pan I mentioned in an earlier post works just fine for a pellet trap. They are usually 3-4 inches deep and will hold enough duct seal to stop any pellet. The photo shows a baking pan before I added the duct seal. The screws are holding the outside hanger. And baking pans are cheap too!

My wife even volunteered to remove the pellets after each shooting session with her tweezers!

Thanks.

If you happen to come down to one of our shoots, let me know. I have a spare pellet trap made from 3/4 plywood. It's made similar to the one Archer Airgun sells.
