Am I the only one who's looking for a steel trigger frame for my 2240? Just so there is no more plastic on my project.
Can anyone help me find one or make it?

I went as far as creating a drawing and programming my CNC to make one, but didn't have time to run the prototype. I may be able to run one this week while I finish another project. I will let you know.

Only programmed one side, so it will not be this week. I was going to cut them from a 1/2" aluminium plate. I should run the first side this week.

Completed the program for the second side and ran three prototypes. Very time consuming for the CNC. I will optimize the CAM portion asap. Cut from a solid 1/2" piece of aluminum. I can posts some pics when I get home in the morning.

I would also be interested in one set once you figure out a price.

Those were cut with the minimal tooling changes, so they aren't as pretty and they took a long time to make cause of the small diameter cutter.
I have to optimize the CAM, then see how fast I can make these. Should be able to trial one tomorrow after I get home from work and get some sleep. IF I can get the timeframe down, they would be practical, if I can't they simply tie-up my CNC and I have to charge too much for them. I will see, but I need to cut the time period down to at least 1/3.
The other option would be cutting a mold and using pot metal, then just machining the one side...

Michael
