I might pick up a Cr1322 to tinker with for a while. Questions:

Can a flat top valve be made by simply machining off the cone on a factory valve? Nothing else needs to be done?

The Cr1322 is not detuned for Canada. What kind of velocity could I expect with a 14.5" and 18" barrel? Would it stay under 500fps with a factory piston? What about with a FTP?

Could a FTP be adjusted to keep velocity at 500fps with a longer 14.5" or 18" barrel?

Yes you can flatten the valve yourself, but you need to make the piston match which isn't as easy, unless you buy a ready made one which are way cool and worth it. Mine uses an O-ring and and is adjustable in length to dial it in for max pressure. I can't remember where I got mine, maybe ebay.
