5 Shots. 1 hole. 10 yards standing, with the supporting hand leaning against the wall. I shot less than 50 pellets from this brand new HW30S, so if it's already printing 1-hole groups, then I look forward to see what it could do at greater distances once it's fully broken - in.
After the 1-holer with the Exact Express', the 2nd - best pellet for my HW was the Exact RS (4 shots in 1 hole, and 1 slight flyer), The Beeman FTS came 3rd, folowed by the H&N Sport, and I was surprised to see the JSB Match grouping relatively 'poorly' at 10 years with a
0.45" c-t-c group.
Looks like I'm not going to be needing a scope any time soon.
I like the furniture on it too

Nice shooting! The HW guns are marching higher and higher up my wish list - I've thoroughly enjoyed every one that I've tried.

CZ-sniper- my HW97K loves the JSB Cometa 4,51mm RN's over all others. It shoots the Predators almost as well - getting tight 1/4" to 3/8" clusters at 25 yards.

Thank you. I started off with the Xisico B26, which is a Chinese HW95 clone.
After shooting many Airguns (PCP and springers) I have never been more satisfied from an airgun purchase like I was with the HW30S.
It truly looks, feels and shoots like an air rifle to pass down for generations.

Thanks. You could say that. I've been mostly shooting my Benjamin Disco in the past few years, but there is something about the simplicity and the joy of shooting a springer that drew me back to them, and the HW30S has satisfied that craving in the best possible way. What a little gem. [emoji41]

I appreciate the word "Joy" , in my vernacular I use "Soul". I gives some feedback..

Seems recently that everyone who has purchased a HW has bought the model 30 and been very happy with it!

Very nice group!

I;m really beginning to hate you guys and this forum. [not really] lol. everytime I here how good a gun is and how everybody loves it . it makes me wan;t to go out and buy one of the damn things. probly the reason I;ve got 11 of them so far. so I;ve been looking a lot at the hw30s. sounds like a good one. so let's say; someday one just happened to fall onto my doorstep ; I have one question. when I got back into airguns I bought a Crossman optimus . ok. I got rid of it because I hated the hard twang or kick in the shoulder. I here that this gun doesn't do that as much. for anyone that is shooting one can you describe it. thanks a lot. pete.

A very predictable, crisp trigger compliments a very high quality spring piston mechanism. A soft short thump is all you'll hear and feel. The HW30S is absolutely solid. No sound whatsoever when you shake it around. It feels well - balanced in your hands and when aiming, so it allows you to take some comfortable offhand shots all day.

I have now placed it on my Christmas wish list. Since I am the one who buys my own gifts, if there's bread left after getting things for the kids and family, I might just have one.

I am starting to dislike this forum because of the addiction and excitement factor.

I'm glad to have found this thread as I'm waiting for my new HW30S to be delivered (any day now!).

Your findings about pellets are interesting... Can you tell me if those Exact Express pellets are the 4.52mm? Those are the only size I see listed on the D&L site. They have other sizes for different model JSB pellets... 4.49, 4.50, 4.51 and 4.52mm. How do you find out which ones work the best in your gun? I haven't found sample packs of different sizes, only of different pellets entirely. Is the only option to get a tin of each one and try them? Seems like a waste to me.

1-hole groups standing? Pretty impressive!

4.51mm shoot best in my HW97. Every gun is unto it's own, though, and must be tested with all to see which is best.
