Excellent collection, thanks for the pics!! What model/brand is the Colt1911 looking handgun? Also, where did you manage to find the Powerline 814, and for how much if you dont mind me asking?

Welcome to this airgun forum, Edmonton Shooter! So many guns and you only discovered CAF now? Anyway, you will find this is one of the best of the airgun fora on the net.

Thanks! I think my next acquisitions will be the Crosman Night Stalker and one of those XS-B3-1 AK clones.

The 1911 style pistol pictured is a Daisy Powerline original Model 45 .177 cal CO2 pellet pistol.

I bought my first Daisy Model 814 (Ruger mini-14 clone) new in the late 80s. Unfortunately that one got stolen in 1991, so after many years of searching I finally found another two years ago and paid dearly for it. Unfortunately this one had sat unused in the box for many years, so the piston seal needs to be replaced. Still a great collector piece though!

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I'm a newbie to the forum but definitely not to the world of airgunning. Got into airguns as a kid and moved up to firearms as an adult. Today my shooting is usually handguns on the range (9mm or .45), but I have always had a lot of fun shooting airguns so am now getting back into it.

Airgunning definitely has a lot of appeal--being able to buy and transport without the hassle and delay of permits; being able to shoot in the basement, backyard, or at the lake lot rather than only at a range; being able to legally display the collection on the wall rather than having to lock everything up in alarmed safes; and being able to buy a nice airgun for the price of a couple of boxes of .45 cal ammo...or get six airguns for the price of one new handgun. There also seem to be a lot of innovative models coming into the Canadian market which is pretty exciting.

This is an amazing forum. I am impressed by the wealth of knowledge out there and the enthusiasm for the sport.

This is the rare Crosman Model AIR-17 (Pneumatic, BB repeater, .177 cal., single shot pellet w/5 shot clip) rifle manufactured between 1985-1990. And you are right, it is just the 781 with different furniture on it!

I just check the schematic of the 781 and AIR 17
And the inside of the 2 guns looks the same to me.

Alright, I guess Im not going to be looking for a 814

The XS B3-1 would indeed be an excellent addition to your collection, more than worth the money! Make sure to get it in .22 though!
