Ah. Not a review so far, more of an unboxing report as he hasn't shot it yet. Guess I'll check back in a few days and see if he follows up with a shooting session and reports on accuracy, and just how weirdly the two points of impact align.

It'd be interesting to see how things lined up using 2 boresights. Of course, fitment might be an issue...

Whaaaa? Both barrels are the same caliber? How stupid is that? Thought the whole idea behind this was to have a .17 and a .22 in one gun so the shooter can opt for whichever pellets to fire. Like a precise .17 pellet to a gopher's skull in order to get him to see stars and a .22 to finish him off. What purpose would this serve other than to give you a workout?

Yes I'm not a big fan of this gun but would like to see the test results. Tom usually will do a follow up on pellet velocity and accuracy, Just curious that's all.

Actually, when he said "I see innovation. Is it good? Who knows?" it seems to be more a statement that, yeah it may be a dumb idea but it is different... So far the review shows a creepy trigger, terrible rear sight, weird variations in velocity (possibly a result of two pellets going through the chronograph) and a complete lack of any identifiable situation where the "innovative" feature of the rifle would be an advantage. Yay Beeman! In the old days Beeman at least slapped their name on good airguns and upped the price!

Thought there might be an actual accuracy test in article 2, but nope, he's stretching it out a bit. Oh well. The velocity is a surprise. Then again, quite a few Chinese made springers run a bit hotter than advertised. My QB57 was shooting at 560fps out of the box, climbed quite a hit higher too before I dismantled it and removed a bunch of oil. Now it shoots Hobby 11.9gr at between 560 and 565fps and more smoothly. Supposed to be sub-500fps though.

As for the double-barrelled. 177"... I'm going to guess that it groups 'interestingly.' As in each barrel gives acceptable if not brilliant accuracy, and the resulting peanut-shaped groups leave the shooter guessing as to which barrel made which hole about a third of the time. Just guessing, but for fun I'll say about a 2" tall by 1" wide group at his standard 10 metre target distance. So worst case, you take a 10 metre shot at a squirrel and one pellet goes over his head, the other under his chin. Or perhaps they both hit. A coin toss. And of course maybe I'm being unwarrantedly pessimistic, could be brilliant.

Indeed interesting, at least the quarter inch group at ten metres from one of the barrels is interesting. The inch group from the other... not so much. That's awful. And off to one side and far above the other, that's pretty much useless unless you're taking a head and heart shot on a pigeon at the same time, for a pigeon standing with its left side facing you, from exactly the right range to match these groups. If I had that thing I'd be de-bonding the barrels at this point and building a new front block with adjustments for each barrel, enabling tuning them to line up vertically at least and a lot closer together at ten metres. I see that a few comments below this installment echo that sentiment.
