Has anyone used one of the small barrel mounted chronos.They are about half the price of a "normal" style chrono.Do they work?How accurate are they?Good deal or waste of money?Kinda broke right now and can't afford a real one.I know it has some punch to it because it will rip a big chunk out of 3/4" pine board at 35' and punch a fairly clean hole in 3/4" mahogany at 35' using 16.3 gr H&N FT.It is too cold out to set up targets and find out the trajectory and cross referance it.Anybody have a guess at how many ft/lbs I might be getting?The gun is a PAL rated NP2 in .22 cal with about .30' machined off the face of piston and seal sanded to .015' head space.Thanks

I have a combro cb-625 mk4 and I am using it as a secondary chrono.
So far it works fine but I had to allign it carefully with the muzzle and fasten it really good on the barrel (used tape instead of the rubber bands).It reads a bit lower compared to my Shooting Chrony,but I am not interested in Absolute numbers.I am more interested in the consistency of my pcp's.I am quite satisfied (especially considering it cost me one third the price of my other chronograph)!

One of the lads at our club has one held on with velcro-tape - seems to work well.

Thanks for the input.I was planning on using it periodically just to see if the gun is still shooting the same.But now I have been wondering how fast things are going downrange.I will prob just wait till I can buy a better one but I could get another project for that money.LOL.

I've had those before...great for a CO2 OR PCP but I don't think they will hold up on a spring or gas piston unit...KEN.
