Bought a tin of these based on the JSB connection, from airgun and archery fun.

Image

They shoot quite well. First 5 shots with them went into just under a caliber on centers- very impressive stuff! Shot at 12 M with a 22-89 with a 24" 22-60 bbl aboard. 6 X on the old Banner 40 mm 6-24 X A/O.

Nice looking pellets. There's a few bent skirts in there, but very slight.
Out of the 55 or so shots I took with them last night, not a single flier. That bbl is really partial to the JSB 18.1 gr heavy- which the gun and scope are sighted in for. I'll see how well the rest of the tin does, and try them at 20 yds, if I can get a break from the wind. I think these are gonna be a capable performer.

Using 16gr pellets on a gun sighted in with 18gr pellet, POI dropped a little bit... Is that means in this distance, the pellet is still going up?

Maybe in 20m, the POI will be right on the bullseye?!

They are slightly to the left of the Heavy's zero as well.

Can't remember what the hold under is for a 16 gr sighted for 20 yds shooting at 12- I've done it before with the QB-AR, and didn't take notes. I don't think it's the same as the difference shown on the bull. It's a bit slighter than that.

.22 pellets have a fairly steep trajectory- at least at my low to mid power set-ups. It's accounted for some pretty serious misses on game- a lesson I'm still learning.

Agreed.... Re zero once you change anything is pretty true...

It looks we really don't need to keep that many types of pellets... Just put some time to find a good fit ( hard to find the best fit...), then, just stick on it and shoot more to increase your skill level....

I had a brand new tin of these with the 5.51mm heads that I have never tested on my TX200. Took it out to the range last night and discovered the accuracy from 15, 20, 30, and 40 yards. Not too impressed as the dismal groups ranged from .37"(15 yds) to slightly over 1 inch @ 40 yards. The JSB Exact Jumbo Diabolos (15.89gr); preferred choice for my TX can perform much better. Guess the barrel doesn't like the smaller head size on these A.A pellets.
I read somewhere stating the fact that JSB manufactures the pellets for Air Arms using the dies provided only by Air Arms. The A.A's are a lot cleaner than the JSB's. When I wash the JSB's, there's quite a bit of swarf in their tins and pellet skirts.

Strange that a primarily a/g manufacturer would go to all the botheration of supplying their own(?) dies to someone else. I think there's a 5.51 sticker on the back of this tin. The chaser don't care much for them.
Have a couple more different bbl to try....

I'll be sampling these 5.51's on my Crosman 1322 next week. I'm hoping they'll shoot well on that pistol as I just discovered that I bought a total of 5 tins from AGS years ago. Stashed them at the back of the drawer and totally forgot about them.
