I know I did a bit of a post but here it is. This will be a regular 7 lane 4 targets per lane match. Starting at 10am running until 3pm. I am planning on making chili so let me know if your coming.

Nice job on the targets! Should be no visibility issues there.

Seeing isn't the issue it's the knocking them down that is the problem.

True enough, but trying to knock them down when you are not sure where the hit zone is located makes for a bigger problem.

I'm even trying to make resetting easier with strings matching target. These colours seam to make it easier to hit just around the hit zone. Makes for easier repaint when match is done.

How do you arrange them? Is it random in a lane or do you have specific colours in specific spots?

Never even noticed the red targets; for folks that are colour blind, they can be tough. In the open they should be fine, but in darker bush cover, the greens and reds blend together. Some have suggested a light pink, similar to the blue ones are quite visible. The WFTF still uses black targets that can be extremely hard to spot in deep shade.

It's just the extra work I'm not into. One colour for faceplates and black for the hit zone. I've asked the shooters and they like that even after a lot of hits these colour combos make it so the hit zone is easiest to make out.

We have gone to the same plan at Grenville, Chris. Targets are black, white or Yellow and hit zones are florescent orange. I still think we have to many black ones, but we are slowly changing that. I want to end up with light coloured targets with good contrasting hit zones. I want a shooting contest, not a "Can you see?" me contest.

Pete sent me a chart with WFTF target colours. I chose not to use black as the faceplate colour or a light colour as the hit zone colour. Shooters seam to like what I've done.
