Should have been more specific.

What does everyone think about the new Flat Dark Earth model of the Crosman DPMS SBR. Same gun, but in dark earth color. May be a Pyramyd exclusive.

IMO it looks better ~ and usually the first production run would have small issues here and there, so maybe this one would be having better quality too?!

I don't see why it wouldn't be an awesome gun like the black one is.

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

One can hope, my black one was fine for 3 weeks then suddenly I noticed even with the mag empty, it keeps shooting now and on full auto will simply empty the CO2. I expect a longer life than 3 weeks before something failed.

What do you mean it keeps shooting?

Means as long as the mag is in the gun and I pull the trigger it will discharge gas, no BB's in mag required.

I see....not good. Wouldn't the bolt usually stay open with no bbs?

B.B. Pelletier (A.K.A. Tom Gaylord) from PA had the same problem on the first few mags. A BB was stuck in the mag keeping the follower from going all the way up. Maybe you have a BB stuck in there or the follower is catching onto something that keeps it from going all the way up.
Opening the rifle is so easy, you should see where the switch is located and if something is keeping it from moving.

I have checked the mag as best as I could and there did not seem to be a BB, the follower was visible through the hole. I also took the rifle down but couldn't find anything that looks out of place (not that I could tell) and put it back together. It functions perfectly outside of that..well, with an empty mag in the gun when I pull the changing handle I expect the bolt to lock back but it doesn't. I wonder if the bolt release is the culprit..

Thanks!

Looks like the barrel from the Hellboy has been screwed on the DPMS SBR
