so took a few (ahem) sick days off work . and I saw this flip up target on you tube whilst browsing for targets. this one is made for .22 rifles. I won,t mention the name. but I basically used the same design only smaller to hopefully be able to use with my airguns. I haven,t got it together yet . that may come when -- I mean if I have another (ahem ) sick day relapse or this weekend. the yellow one on the bottom is the you tube one looking at it from the back. the others are the one I made. I am going to use small hinges under the targets. I hope I don,t have the weight of the targets problem like I did with some other targets I made. because I don,t wan,t to make these smaller. has anybody seen this one or tried anything like it.

Very nice. I like shooting at spinners or poppers. More then paper targets.

thanks l. man I wish all you other guys wouldn,t push and crowd each other so much to see my work. I pretty much finished it today. works way better than i expected. I only made it a foot long. I think I could have made it a bit bigger. remember the yellow one in top pic IS NOT MINE. it was my reference. I sprayed just a touch of wd40 in where the center where the nut and bolt are so works very fast. don,t forget this pic is looking at it from the rear. I,m getting a headache trying to resize these stupid pics.

thanks frank. can,t do that-- it,s not my design. I just copied it and made it smaller so my airguns could knock the targets down. I don,t think I can get in trouble for making them with my own twist. but I might if i made them for selling.

Pete, my thinking on this is that if there is no patent or if there is no copyright, then it's o.k to make copies and sell them. Could be wrong but just using logic here. Just to be fair you could get in touch with the designer and ask for permission to make and sell. Perhaps he/she is willing to manufacture and sell on their own.

hi t. the yellow one in the top pic is called the bushwhacker and is made by birchwood casey ---it,s for .22s-- so already taken. I like to make my own targets as you can see by some of the of the other ones I have posted on the forum-- (check out my duelling tree target. it,s on the same page as my magnetic flip up target.--somewhere on this page.) I was just browsing around on you tube one day and found this particular one. and thought it would be a good one to try and make. which it was-- works great. it was a bit hard to make. i never intended to make any to sell -- only to give every one here some different ideas on making there own targets.

forget the jumbled mess up above . I gave up on that one for now. here is my next almost done target. it,s called a hostage target. I cut a piece of plywood in the shape i need for the back. and then I cut 4 pieces of the target from square electrical plate covers - which i painted all black. and also two round targets-- i,ll paint white. and for when they get beat up and shot up a lot i drilled holes in the plywood and inserted rare earth magnets. (which are super strong.) i can just pull them off -- make a new one and re-attach. should be done tomorrow. looks pretty decent. hope it works. ciao for now. i flipped those pics straight but they wen,t the long way after i clicked submit.

ok. pretty much finished another.the jumbled mess above. I have to cut pieces out of 4 electrical plate covers . it makes it easier for cutting the eye circles and all I have is a jigsaw. still have to put the swivel target in back for the eyes. arrrggh matey looks so nice I hate to shoot at it.

hi tw how you been. thanks .ya. they are 1/4"x1/4" in size. they are super strong and pretty cheap if you get them from china. figured I,d use them instead of screws and when the plate gets beat up to much I can just pop them off and make another one. now all I have left is to figure something out for the eyes so when I shoot them down I can just shoot again to reset them.
