Good afternoon, thought I'd introduce myself being new to the forum. Recently decided to get back into the hobby, mainly for something to do with my son (who just turned 13) and teach him the importance of gun safety, laws, responsibilities etc and most importantly something to do with him as he's at the age where he has his own interests and this might be something we can do together and possibly sparks his interest in the hobby. I'm more of a target shooter/plinker and hoping to get into some longer range stuff in the near future.
I've seemed to jump from on hobby to the next over the last 10-15yrs (extensive saltwater fish tank, RC cars/trucks/drones and now back to this, lol) so will slowly build up a collection and see how it goes.

Anyway, tons of helpfull info here already

Don't forget the Windsor Sportsman's Club runs an outdoor air rifle range during the summer. A great place for a father/son to participate together for a little competitive shooting.

Hi Yannick and welcome aboard - lots of good info here and I hope your son takes advantage of his dad's new hobby - makes for a lot of family fun. I'm originally from Amherstburg, and just got back from a trip to visit my brother and to do some air gun shooting with my niece and nephew who is currently fighting cancer. They both enjoy shooting with their uncle Bill and makes my long trips precious and worthwhile.

Welcome, Yannick - good goal, to teach the young about safe, gun handling, shooting, and hunting if you do that as well.
Personally, I've been hunting on my own for almost 57 years now, starting when I was 12. My brother and I were taught proper
gun handling by our uncle, a cpl in the RCMP from age about 8 onward.
