I would guess its a casting flaw. Most likely all from one run would be my guess.

Well Beretta had a similar issue with slides when they started supplying M9 pistols to the US military. At least KWC wont kill anyone with theirs.

The Beretta slides would shear off and fly back at the users face.

Problem is its a Umarex. And they made slides for some powder burners such as... GSG 1911, Sig Mosquito, Walter P22, plus alot of other companies. There been alot of slide failures, with this company.

Patty you can look at every manufactures and they had failures at one point. But Umarex is common. It's the cheap metal they use.

I think its made by KWC, and zamak is not very strong.
