I had to do the same thing with this one.
1st picture, is the Original, after re-shaping of the stock, I had to move the barrel band back.

Thank you
After reassembly when I put laser bore sighter I have on it lifted the POI to just about perfect.
I sighted in the scope to the laser dot and ran a mag through after few minor adjustments its stacking pellets at 7 yds. Need to go outside and shoot now.
I have been scouring the net for mods for this rifle and most were about more power, which I don't care about since its a non pal rifle.
The 2nd barrel band was the biggest improvement from reading various forums etc re crowning the barrel was possible mostly cosmetic my airgun ocd could not let it remain.
I am still going to put a beefier bolt handle on it as well as polish the bolt with rubbing compound and checker the back face and bolt handle.
There is a 2 stage trigger available from airguns of arizona but too pricey with exchange.
The trigger as I have it adjusted with the polished sear is very nice.
:D

New bolt handle!
Feeling motivated this morning so i set up my tiny unimat db300 lathe.
I happened to have some stainless steel bar stock in ⅜
Here's what went down
Turning down to .177 for the shaft then the tip to 4mm
Image

Hand checkering the tip just because i can.
Image

Final sand and polishing.

Image

Mine plus the original bolt handle.
The original bolt shoulder diameter is a little narrow and it always allows for a little bit of back-and-forth play in the bolt even while it's locked in the bridge. My new boat handle fits perfect no play but no sticking either.
Image

While i had it apart , I checkered the end of the bolt and then polished it with 2000 grit wet sand and metal polish compound.

Any how would do you guys think?
cheers
walther

Thanks Wes
I am chef by trade , But love working with metal and wood ,I am self taught very amateur machinist, cutting threads with a die is a pain in the axx..
My tiny lathe does not do threading...

Thank you, it was tough hand cutting the threads with a die cutter on stainless steel.

Very good work, Walther.
The Hatsan BT65's come with the adjustable cheek rest.
This is the modified one. IIRC, it lost 2 pounds of wood
in the re-do.

Thought I'd make another bolt Handle with the last piece of stainless I have.
I'm currently recovering from knee surgery so spare time I have lots of.
