Yes there are.

If the altaros regulator is as consistent as the lane over the chronograph, it might be a bargain.
Does the lane reg cost more than the altaros?
Would be nice to see some comparison groups shot at a distance~ 15-20 yds. That may be a bit more telling...

Yes, Doc. That will be my next project.

As far as I can remember, the Lane is actually a bit cheaper to buy from ebay.

Sorry, just checked. They are the same price. Around CAD$110.

I guess the best comparison would be to take whichever gun seems most accurate and swap barrels and see if the accuracy follows the barrel or is because of the regulator. =)

Hi Wes,

I have already tried that, the shorter CR600W barrel is more accurate than the LR700 barrel regardless of which rifle it is installed in. The regulator brands Lane seems to give better results from an effiency stand point. Although based on my observations, at these low regulator settings (75-90 bar). The Altaros output pressure is more consistant based on the pellet speed variation.

That's great Tom, that eliminates one important variable, and you already know the Altaros is more consistent at that low settings so now it's just a matter of how the lane does at longer distance with its less consistent velocity. I think the idea of using the most accurate barrel and swapping it between guns would still have merit, when testing at longer range.
Thanks for sharing your comparison.
