Yep we had various versions of the cr600w. The new ones also have extra long barrels. I do have shorter barrels that can be switched upon request and if you buy the pp800 with a long barrel you can choose your length.

Wes

That's a fine looking rig Tom, and a great job of tuning it up to the edge, well done..!

That 13" scope doesn't look out of place whatsoever; are you using the medium or high rings that came with the scope..?

How long is that CR600w barrel..?

Shootin' Dimes...I Love it..!!!
Sorry Rupertt, these are the low rings I used on the PP800. My poor memory did it again.[emoji17]

Low Rings...wow, it looks like there's plenty of clearance under the scope for the magazine.
Thanks for the info/correction Tom, very helpful indeed..!

Yep, I use low rings on my Chaser too. Still good clearance between the 7 shots .22 mag and the bottom of the scope...

Now I'm thinking I should have selected the Low Rings when I ordered the DISCOVERY VT-3 3-12X44,
but I wasn't sure the 44mm Objective lens and 30mm tube would clear the barrel.
I got the 25 cal PP800 Chaser and don't have the magazine to worry about.

It's nice to have the scope down close to the barrel...

If for a 44mm plus 30mm tube scope, I think you will need a mid high ring... Not only due to the mag, maybe with a low ring the objective lens will touch touch the tube/action... I use a set of mid rings for my 42mm Discovery scope...

And don't worry about the low rings vs the mid rings too much, it's not really that much difference... Except you are shooting targets at a very close distance...

For my 3-12X44 Discovrry scopes, I had to use high rings to clear the front barrel band.

Yep, don't need high for the 25 cal PP800.
The low rings I have anyway are 14mm high, not true low, but what discovery calls low. That gives enough clearance for a 44mm scope with 30mm tube. Even a 50mm glass fits I'm pretty sure, if barrel band isn't in the way.

Here is how the high rings look on the CR600W PCP. So on the chaser they are medium height rings.ImageImage
