The growth of FT pretty well relies on people paying it forward in terms of knowledge, experience and just the joy of being out shooting with a great group of people. Once you start attending matches you will notice it even more. The great thing is that once you are a few matches in, you will find yourself doing the same thing as new shooter enter the sport. The enthusiasm flows over naturally.
I attended my first matches in the fall of 1998 and believe me, I relied heavily on good advice and continuous pointers. Since then, there is probably never a match where I do not learn something or offer a pointer where I see a possible need. Ft shooters are the ones that are responsible for the growth of the sport as they pass the infection on to folks as they take up the sport.
Hoping that you and others will allow your enthusiasm to spread, whether it is on the FT course, in social media or just casual conversation. Hoping to reach that critical mass when FT begins to spread rapidly. Signs of it already, but I will keep at it until I am no longer able. At only 72, I figure another 25 or 30 years anyway.
