I am not going to invest into equipment to make my own slugs.
So far I was purchasing ZAN directly from the manufacturer, I tried 37 grain -40-44-46 grain slugs.
Time to buy again for a new season and fill up my own stock, shopping around not seeing anywhere in Canada heavier slugs.
Zan is proven any new brand I would need to go through the learning process again.
Anybody can point me?

Try forum member RStern. He makes .25 grain slugs and would be the first place I'd try. Knowledgeable and helpful.

I'm in the same boat. I have two .25 cal airguns; the tres ugly Hatsan, and my using Talon, which I take up to rabbit size game out to 75 yards or so with Predators.

I've never tried anything else in them, but will be doing so this fall. Having casting equipment, I'll simply buy a new mold in .25. Ultimately, this might be the best solution because buying casting equipment (lots used at gun shows) will be cheaper than buying another scope.

If not, we'll just hunt and peck. Supply will be the problem methinks.

Bon chance.

I have one of Bob's designs in bullets for the .25 - a 51gr. FP BT.(flat point boat tail) in 4- cavity NOE mould blocks.
I did have, for a while a 2-cavity mould casting one FP BT and one HP. I sold it to a local chap.

I have one Superior .22x600 liner, I would like to test it with heavy slugs.
Cannot find anything (in Canada) heavier then 30gr, AGS have some leftovers but in 0.218. The pellets I measured in the past are 0.2165 from that same liner.

(I know I could eventually resize them, but too much work on top of the costs).....

Anybody tried shooting 0.218 slugs with a Superior liner?

NOE (Oregon I think) sells the bullet moulds for air rifles. The moulds are beautifully made, in adjustable HP depth as well as non-hollow point designs using the same mould blocks or different ones if all you want to cast is flat points. They do have special match-type bullet moulds for the .257 slug barrels as well.

Daryl, this all sound good.
But I don't want to invest my time and effort and money into casting. I am a large volume shooter, to cast the amount of pellets or slugs which I am capable of shooting that would need a full time job only to cast + chase the suppliers for raw material. And for the amount of money spent we can buy a lot of first class bullets to.

Yes, however a mould and lead pot would run about $250.00. Of course, if needed, a lube/sizer is another couple hundred now, I guess.

I've got 36.2gr slugs in 25 cal.
Not especially heavy but heavier than thirty grains anyway

The NSA are a good price from what I've seen of otner brands of slugs.
Looks like h&n only gives 100 slugs for $30 in 36gr. NSA has almost 3 times that.
