I'd like to get my hands on one of these.....Sadly, I have never seen any AEA's models in Canada?

Yes, as of now, Semi-auto is allowed in Canada. Calling it select fire, is confusing, as that terminology was normally used on semi-auto/full auto assault rifles.
Semi-auto only is not an assault rifle, nor is bolt action & semi-auto, as this AEA happens to be.
