Finally getting time to work on a outdoor target stand for the backyard. First attempts at a silent impacting target trap. Some rubber gym flooring, yoga mat, carpet underlay and newspaper.

I'm not certain if you are aware but duct seal traps are absolutely silent. No ricochets either.

Thanks, I have read before of duct seal working as silent backstop. If I decide to go indoors I may try a small duct seal backstop.
So far the only cost has been a handful of screws, the rest is freebies or leftovers from past jobs, so I'm happy with that. Money saved funds growth of ammo stockpile..

It's a neat and tidy setup. Mine is a hodgepodge of hanging objects, paint long worn off - you could say an eyesore in the backyard. I really should make something respectable like yours... added to the to do list. :D :drinkers:

You may want to move it away from the garage door before shooting at those spinners!
[emoji6] ;-) ;-)

Just kidding of course. Nice setup.
