Here we go. All done.. sort of. They 100% work.

Used the cheapest leather punches I could find to punch out the outer and inner circles. Bashed with mallet on cutting board. Material used is basic static-cling privacy shielding. The punches are shown in picture.

Although the flip up reader glasses offer no magnification, they affect my vision and so the pinhole needs to be drilled through. My guess is that it's ok for the hole in the glasses to be larger since the stick-on iris provides the peep hole.

They flip up nicely, work very well, feel sturdy and they were cheap!

20$ total plus including leather punches and a few scraps of privacy shielding I had lying around.

The iris outter circle could be a bit bigger but the limit was due to the hole punch size.

Oops. Forgot to credit @ezplnkr for the ideas. These glasses actually kick butt.

Yes, I did use a leather punch as well (that's what I had in hand).

But I think anyone could have also used a regular punch pliers from Cdn Tire https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mastercraft-6-hole-punch-pliers-with-6-tapered-hollow-hardened-steel-punches-chrome-plated-steel-0584846p.0584846.html?rq=hole+punch#srp.

Happy to see this working great for you too :D
