A month ago a received a Norica springer from Wes. After just one shot the trigger was not to my liking. I took a look at it to see if there was an easy solution but nothing looked easy.

I ordered a tester to see if was me or the gun. My rat gun measures 8oz and the Norica measures above for 4lbs 2oz. The unloaded trigger spring force for stage 1 is 9oz and stage 2 is 1lb. That leaves an additional 3 lbs in sear drag on the piston latch. Does this seem high? I have all ready placed some Moly AS lube on the contacting surfaces. It didn't seem like any polishing could be performed. The rest of the components on the gun seem to be great.

If there are no burrs, then "drag" should not be the problem, if lubed, especially with moly. If the trigger/sear geometry is out, as in as you pull the trigger, the trigger is actually further cocking
the spring release before releasing it, then there will be increased pressure required to fire the gun. The release has to be exactly 90 degrees and short contact.Tricky with a springer, but - Weihrauch & most likely RWS manages it.
If the sear engagement surface is not almost glass hard, there will be more drag as well.
