I recently saw a video about "5 banned airsoft guns".

During the course of the video, a gun called the "Strafer" was mentioned, and the reason it's banned is that it's HPA, full auto only, and can shoot at 170 rounds per second, according to the video. According to the manufacturer it's 150-175 per second depending, but close enough. So it's not banned by any government, but it is effectively banned by the airsoft community themselves, as no one will let people use them on their fields.

However, it is not solely an airsoft gun, it can do .177/4.5mm steel bbs as well, which in that configuration makes it a full auto BB gun.

It would be annoying having to wear a tank on me while using it, but it seems pretty sweet to me from a "badassery" perspective.

I have never seen anywhere about full auto being a problem for sub 500fps airsoft or airguns. The one issue I could see is that the manufacturer claims an FPS from 250-625, which on the higher end could be a problem, at least if you don't want to have to treat it like a "real" gun.

Now, to see how much it'd cost, if getting one here would be possible...

Edit: having scrolled down on the manufacturers website, it seems to cost $950 (I am assuming U.S as well, so much more for us), and that's before shipping, taxes, or customs, etc. So unfortunately while it may be legal for me to get one, I will not be as I cannot justify that price tag.

On the website it has a copyright date of 2010, but of course the website is still up. I don't know if any business would keep paying to keep their website up if they are no longer in business unless whoever was in charge is extremely incompetent.
