Does anyone know what the thread is on a QB valve? I would like to make a new body with female thread. I think it’s 5/8-16 but doesn’t seem like a common tap. Is it metric? Has anyone made one before. I was also thinking of cutting it so the o ring ends up inside the valve like a 2240.

I do believe the QBs are metric, so find an equivalent metric thread. could be M16x1.5 or 1.6 - both are oddball need a lathe to cut them likely.
