A friend of mine made and gifted a laser cut target made of steel. The steel is 3/8 inch, and the target is about three feet wide and a foot tall. The base is 1/4 inch thick steel. The metal was sand blasted so I got to paint it ASAP. The targets do not move and only gives a "gong" when hit.

How thick does metal have to be not to bend when using a sub 12 ft lbs airgun?

Most field targets are about 3mm. Dean Leite targets were 3/16”, but I have never seen other targets that thick.

Those are nice targets. More than thick enough for airgunning.

Would be a satisficing ding shooting them. Nice paint! I would be careful with the deer target though, worried it might bend. Hard to say from photo but the legs are thinnest on deer. Enjoy , nice gift. I like it. :D Sorry 3/8 take it back your good.
