Spent a little time turning brass transfer ports with different diameter holes. So far went from original (5/64), 3/32, 1/8 and 9/64.

So far 9/64 is working the best. Weaker spring in the cylinder made no difference so kept original. I think she's peaked.ImageImageImageImageImage

Nice improvisation with your drill press. Are you using a 2 axis vise? Well done.

Thank you sir! Love my ol' JET [emoji16] cannot afford a lathe at the moment so I've been doing a bit of work on this thing with just a cutoff / grooving insert. Tried a 55° insert with no luck too much chatter. Not a slide vice, just the pivoting table.
