Hello there guy's,,I have a question,,The other day, I was feeling a little bored, so I decided to give my .22 a good cleaning. I was using a pull-thru on the barrel, and I noticed that when I was pulling, that on a section of the barrel I noticed almost no resistance for about an inch and a half/2 inches. So, I took off the barrel, held it up to a bright light, look up the barrel, and noticed what looked like a scratch right around where I noticed a decrease in resistance,,,the only thing I can think of, is maybe a hair-line fracture that expanded that particular section of the barrel???I'm just wondering if this weapon is still safe to fire,It's an oldie, circa '60's, French Semi-Auto Carbine, and I think the sear spring is going,,the last time I had this thing in the field,it went full auto for around 7-8 rounds,,LOL,,Anyway's, If anyone has some info on this I would really appreciate it,,Thank's Andy.

Ohhh yesss....the Gevarm....I had one as a kid...it's an open bolt shooter with a fixed firing pin and no extractor....with a little bit of tin foil equals loads of fun!!!

Take it to a gunsmith to have it checked out.
