I like that the Ruger is very customizable....like a 2240..

Wonder if I'll get more power if i add longer barrel :?:

It is possible to change the barrel of the Ruger Mk II pistol, but, it is a threaded in affair and the receiver is that peice that has the serial number, and not the frame. It is not as simple as ordering a replacement barrel, like on the 10/22, or in the most simple of systems, like the 2240.

I feared it would be more complicated than I imagined.
Peeked a few customized MarkII's (lost link) on the net that look very unique & pretty. It's like the only rimfire pistol you could work on

I showed a pic of an all stock Ruger to my brother and he thought: "ugly" .....but with a few aftermarket parts like a hunter barrel and new grips it'd be awesome 8)

If you want a rifle I’d recommend a Remington 597 I love mine! 8) they go for around $185!

Ruger is OK for both target and plinking, I’ve shot a few hundred rounds thu one, but S&W 41 is a better choice if you want accuracy. it’s bit more money though. (more than I would spend on a .22)

stop thinking like an airgunner  No it wouldn't make much of a difference unless you instal 20in barrel  even then it's still just a .22... ;)

with firearms you don't mess around with a barrel length to add power; you use high velocity ammo 8)

Hmm thats an intriguing rifle, dont mind the synthetic look myself...

Funny you pointed out how im thinking AG wise...gotta grasp the concept of a chemical reaction generating power. But airguns always funner in my books :)

Have you ever thought of an Winchester Lever Action, Tube Fed through the front of it ? I use to own a 1896 version in .22 caliber RimFire LR. There a great FireArm plus it's a copy of History made by USA by Winchester...

Krazy Mike... :)

Savage is a good and accurate rifle, easy to maintain, and quite light (around 5 pounds). My suggestion if you wanna do some plinking in your garage, I'd suggest you to use Remington's CBee...they has only 750 fps and is no louder than a spring rifle.... they are available in .22 short, long and LR. (They are pretty good to take down some pests as well, imagine a 45 grainer travelling at 750+fps without the big bang that firearms are attached with........Have fun!!!! 8)

Yes, saw one at my weps dealer for around 340$ brand new.

I own a Browning BL-22, wich is much more well-made not talking about the fact that it has a short throw lever (33 degrees of angle to arm it!),finishing quality is much more higher on the browning than any other lever action .22s I saw.....think about it....there's a ton of advantages to take the browning rather that the winchester....that only my 2 cents on the subject though...

I shot a .22LR rifle this atfternoon w/a tube mag.
Definitely noticed the FPE increase, especially on POI. But will admit a high powered PCP rifle is faster, more accurate(IMO), as powerful & louder

It was fun to handle rimfire but probably not as exciting as centerfire..i think a .45 center-fire would surly wake me up from napping better  :D :) some cutting edge military/tactical carbines and rifles from famouse german&Euro brands @: www.shooterschoice.com
Like this .45 carbine from HK: http://www.shooterschoice.com/benelli/Heckler&Koch.htm
This place is located close just outside the Greater Toronto Area 8)
