Hello there Guy's,,I was polishing the stock on my new B2-2a, and noticed two very small hairline cracks developing on my stock just above the butt-plate (one on each side, but they don't look connected in any way), would any body know how to remedy this without doing any damage to the stocks finish?. I know that some of these "Chinese" guns have a bad rep when it comes to the way the stocks look, but I guess I got lucky, this one is very nice, and wouldn't mind keeping it like that, as opposed to redoing the stock,,Thank's, Andy.

Get yourself some very good wood glue and insert it into both cracks, and then clamp it over night. You most likely will have to sand it down though, and refinish it. I've done this before with good results. Can't even see where it was cracked at all. Use rubber pads though on the wood ends being clamped so it won't marr the surface...

Mike... :)

Are there any screws going into the stock?

Maybe you could remove the butt plate and check to see if you can see the cracks under the plate. If you can, drill a hole at the edge of the crack and follow the length and line of the crack. Then drip in epoxy in the hole. Insert a dowel the size of the hole. This will force the epoxy into the crack. Leave the dowel in to connect the two sides of the crack when dry and cut it off flush.
