It all lies in ATTITUDE, doesn't it? A positive, friendly attitude will go miles with just about anyone. Add in a little humility and you could have just about anyone eating out of your hands. Just goes to show it's not what you know or have experienced so much, but more as to how it is perceived and received.

Stephen posts some facts and actual test results and gets called "dumbass", "liar", "horses posterior" and "arse" by responders on this forum.
Stephen, offended at the "anal fixated" name calling by these bum chums, responds in kind with a watered down version.
Stephen posts additional, apparently factual, results from credible UK third parties such as John Bowkett, T L Robb and John Knibbs as well as his own factual modifications and results.
The forum bans him from posting.
Do not attempt to confuse forum members with the facts when their minds are closed.
Do not respond in kind to infantile offensive name calling.

Perhaps Suprmatic could cut and paste a posting from the vintage airgun forum.
A LeonardJ on that forum was undiplomatically criticized for modding a FWB300.
LeonardJ admonished the poster by pointing out that "we are all gentlemen on this forum".
He was supported by his buddy Keyrigger.

RossB you must be reading something that I can't see, the only person to use those terms was Stephen! I re-read every post in this forum and confess to be amazed at your comments and accusations.

Voltar1, my comment was meant to be funny

Ross, you have this backwards. If you actually read Stephens posting it was he that chose the profanity as his case weakened.
Don't twist the story around to make him the victim.
Factual info? hardly
Take a Quest for example where it takes 2x the swept volume as well as a 25% harsher spring to achieve a velocity increase of 60%.
So 200% volume change nets 160% velocity with a spring change
Without a spring change the velocity is only 130% increase.
Stephen is claiming a 1.016% volume change to get 112% velocity
mmmmmm
math won't let it happen.
Still no reason to resort to gutter mouth.

I stand corrected.
The conflict apparently started in the earlier Webley pistol topic when Stephen first used the term "picky buttock" which is a British equivalent to fussbudget or nit picker to describe Keyrigger.
Further in the same topic Krazy Mike called Stephen a "liar".
Subsequently, Supermatic called him a "horses posterior".
Next, Krazy Mike called him an "arse".
Stephen began using "dumbass and "nincompoop".

It is unfortunate to lose the input of factual, this is what was done and here are the results, postings.
His critics never offered to repeat his work to verify or disprove it.
They just dumped on it.

I plan to try a bit of Stephen's piston/seal shaving on my old Webley pistols.

BTW, I believe the HW80 is merely a lengthened HW35.
The HW80 has close to twice the foot-pounds output of the HW35.
Does it have twice the stroke?
.

Why Can't We Be Friends Lyrics
Artist: War (Buy War CDs)
Album: Why Can't We Be Friends

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I seen you 'round for a long long time
I really 'membered you when you drink my wine

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I seen you walkin' down in Chinatown
I called you but you could not look around

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I bring my money to the welfare line
I see you standing in it every time

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

Well first of all it sounded like the guy had no idea what he was talking about since he kept repeating the same thing over and over again,' the last 1/4 inch of the chamber is where the power comes from'. Well what he couldn't possibly fathom is that when you shave off 2mm, you're not having any effect on the last 1/4th inch since the last 1/4th is exactly that, the end of the chamber. When you shave off 2mm you just increase the distance before the last 1/4th of the chamber, the distance which is not really important because supposedly the last 1/4th inch of the chamber is where the power comes from.

So following his logic I could shave off 5cm from any piston and it wouldn't matter, because the last 1/4th" of the chamber just moves back.

So either he really didn't know what the hell he was talking about, or he confused a tune of a webly senior to something that applies to all airguns, or he just plain never passed highschool english.
