I've just joined and interested in information about my venerable old Slavia 620 in .177 calibre.... I've always considered it a heavy hitter and accurate.... but my old eyes were having trouble with the open sights so I just fitted it with a Red Dot I adapted from a Telescope finder!.... It has adjustable reticles and brightness.... and it only cost me $30.... but if I didn't have access to a machine shop I could never have mounted it.... I'm sure happy with the results.... I got my first Ruffed the other day (haven't hunted in 30 years).... a single shot through the head and he never even flinched....

Does anyone have the velocity specs on this gun?.... I'm curious if I have to register it.... I have a POL already....

I'm also interested in opinions about the best pellets for this gun for hunting Grouse....

Today is the 10th Anniversary of my first post on the CAF.... When I got back into airguns I had no idea how all-consuming the Hobby would be.... or what I would be doing a decade later.... It has been a pleasure to be a part of the CAF and I hope to continue contributing, and learning, here for a long time to come....

Bob

Thanks Bob, for all your great contributions to the forum and the sport of airgunning! Happy Anniversary! What a help you have been and inspiration to hundreds of new airgunners interested in tinkering with their air rifles!

Long gone, sold it about a year later, but not until I had bagged a few Grouse with it.... 10 years later, I no longer have ANY Springers....
