Hi Guys,

Received my CX4 yesterday from D&L Airguns. The service was incredible and i got my order 3 days after they shipped. ( Here i should add that i'm from Quebec )

The version i got was the non TK and the fps 495.

I added a red dot and a flash light as well as a bipod that i ordered appart.

I won't get technical or anything as i'm sure a lot of you know this gun.

It feel incredible to hold in hands. the same quality as a cp99. The gun was bigger than i was expecting. ( i didn't saw the gun for real before ordering it )

I already had a cp99 and tought the CX4 would be a nice addition.

The gun i awesome. From the red dot, i can still use the sight from the actual gun looking thrue the red dot. It's a good adventage as i zeroed my red dot for 25 yards and my sight for 10 yards. So it's very convenient. But be carefull, it's thrue for my red dot but doesn't mean all of them are going to be working like this.

i took the tadctedge 7 inches from leapers red and green dot.

it took about 20 shots to zero the red dot at 25 yards and the sight were already perfect to shoot at 10 yards.

the gun 30 shots system is awesome HOWEVER, even if i shoot slowly, you go thrue the 30 shots very fast ! at first i was shooting and no more pellets were comming and i tought i only shot half of the pellets...

so the second pellets charger is a most ( wich i have ) however, it takes about 2 minutes to refill one of them.

the CO2 did't last for long... i shot about 180 pellets and then it started to slow down. however, during all of the 180 pellets, i tough the shots were very consistent.

At 25 yards with no scope, i tought it was very hard to aim at the center. however, all of the shots went in a 5 inches circle.

at 10 yards, the gun is very very precise and even without a scope, i tought it was very easy to aim using the gun sight.

( crosman pellets hallow head )

RSW high velocity are going to be ordered soon to see the difference.

Oh ! when you try to shoot very fast, it's awesome as well, very accurate and fast ! but i don't think i'll try this again.

Taking everything in consideration, this gun is very expensive to use.

What i plan for the my next shooting period is 750 pellets and 3 or 4 C02 cartridge to shot for 1 hour and a half and two hours.

the gun is more powerfull then the cp99 judging the penetration ( same pellets same material )... but not as powerfull as i was expecting. I'll try to find a cheap chronograph on ebay to see exactly wich fps i get out of this beast.

NO BLOWBACK TO BE SEEN, however, i fell something inside... a small push... i'll have to investigate on this !

So that it's for now... i'll put some pictures soon and let you know more after i go back to FT.

If you have questions don't hesitate ! CHEERS !

Your gun is probably shooting in the 300 fps range. Owners of this gun confirmed this. It's very weak, but looks good. If your comfortable moding it, then do it. We all want to see the internal anyways, post pics.

My CX4 is a stone-stock, non-PAL version, and shoots at around 470 - 480 FPS with RWS Meisters. Thats in the basement at around 70* F.

On my side i used the RWS high velocity... Inside as well at 22 C.

I don't say it doesn't shoot at 495... but i'm sure it doesn't. I'll have to check with a chrony... But i can tell it doesn't shot that faster then my cp99...

At 25 yards, i can see the pellets doing an arc. in between the gun and the target, i can say it goes about 5 inches higher then the target then goes back down on target...

I've just put it appart to look at the valve system and to see if there was anything to do... didn't found anything.

i just put it back together and there is one small srping and a small metal ball i can't figure out where they are going... i'm sure it's for the safety since i putted it back together and the safety won't hold in place... it goes from left to right freely... the gun still shoot but.. !!! i have to old the safety in place.

i hope i can find where this is suppose to go but without the plans... it's going to be hard !!!

It looks like you got the good batch, i read on these forums that somebody had one shooting at around 380 fps if I remember correctly. That's low for a long barrel airgun.

The Best I have had mine up to was 570fps for the PAL rated one using Beeman Lasers at 20C. I am curious to see if it climbs closer to the 600 in Summer with temp in the mid 20s
