Hello all,
Can someone point me in the direction of Canadian or International FT rules for course designs? I am in the process of trying to set up a field course and would like it to follow the accepted standards of the day.
I am starting with a blank slate and would take any input from beginner to pro. Thanks in advance for any input you may offer.

Great news about you wanting to start your own FT matches.

Regarding Canadian Field Target Specifically:
CAFTA has six men on their board of governors, 4 of which are on this forum frequently. This board is recognized as the official voice of Field Target in Canada. This board has recently applied for official recognition with the World Field Target Association. As the sport grows here in Canada, we may even desire to apply for the World Championships to be held here in the future!

Regarding the board of governors:
-Mac is the president
- I (CJN) am the vice-president
- Keyrigger is the secretary
- Canshooter is in charge or web design and some PR work.
- The other two governors are very busy with their own businesses, but are active match directors.

We have just concluded the new "Shoot Rules" booklet.

It contains these major categories:

Keyrigger is also in the process of updating our "Match Guidelines" which will compliment the new rules and have more to do with the actual running of a match or club. We hope to release this at the same time as the rules, hopefully well in advance of the 2008 FT season.

We will certainly put the link for the updated information on this site as soon as it is available.
