Just bought a 2289G Backpacker. Just opened the box. Then it struck me... maybe I should get some advice on the setup. Please respond SOON if you have any thoughts, as I have an itchy trigger-finger. (I went with flat 22's). Thanx and I'll tell you all about my new baby! - Toad

They are called wadcutters, not flat pellets. Are you plannin' to mod 'er at all? There is a really easy mod, makes the trigger pull smoother. Just take off the stock, and take off the little side panel. Take out the trigger, and take out the sear (this is the dull silver piece that touches the trigger). Then polish where they touch, and put it all back together.

hey toad;

nice little gun, eh? I got the same one, but I can't stand the sights. Let me know how you fare with them.

Or use the peep-sight that comes with it and slide out the fiber optic from the front sight.
That way you can look through the holes like the competition rifles.
I use that once in a while.

If you taking it apart don't forget to plug the hole on exhaust port so at least upto par with the spec.
