 Post subject: 2289 leak help

i noticed that i have a leak in my 2289 , when i cock the gun and start to pump it . on the opening stroke of the pump the air leaks out i was thinkg it was the chech valve is in backwards but i dont know .

if it has a light spring it will leak on the first pump . no big deal . as long as it holds air . does it ?

no after every pump when it opens air comes out lol . ill get it working tho just time .

Did you take the valve apart? Did you remember to put the O-ring back in? This happened to me the other day, was in a hurry and forgot the o-ring that seals the valve when screwed together.

no he putt it back in i was there when he did it
take it apart and look at your check valve

Those check valves get me everytime. I almost always put it backwards and then have to take it apart again. :lol:
