One our US top shooters, is also a bit of a tinkerer, and has developed a resetting target that does not need a string. It falls, then resets itself. During the video, you will see one shot that is called a "Split". This is where the edge of the hole is hit but not enough energy is left from the remaining piece that hits the paddle, to knock the target over. However, this video will show you what we see when we are sitting down and knocking them over. From Brad Troyer.

One of the best ways to see what an actual FT match looks like it to come out to one.... :D

But a quicker, and much simpler way is to go to following link and type in "Field Target".
