Questions: For Hunter FT the rules state:

Quote:
A.... Match air guns may be used, but must have all adjustable parts at their minimum placement.

If (a portion of) the forestock is dropped to improve the hold when standing, is that OK?.... If so , does it have to be fixed (ie not adjustable vertically or removable)....

Quote:
H. Knee risers and thigh rests, either attached to the rifle, or held separately, will not be allowed.

Does this rule refer to something that actually sits on the knee or thigh (ie supporting the gun directly and not through the leading hand).... If so, I presume the dropped forestock I asked about above could not sit directly on the knee?....

Quote:
7. Shooting Position - B. Kneeling.... The leading hand may not be supported in any way.

I assume the elbow of the leading hand may rest on the knee?....

Could you please give me a link to a chart showing the allowable ranges and shooting positions for the various KZ sizes used in Canada?.... Are there different standards in International competition?....

What I need to know is what is the maximum range allowed for a given KZ size for unrestricted position.... and the same information when the position is "forced" to be Standing, Kneeling, or Prone.... if there is a difference....

Would it be possible to make this link a "sticky" in this thread?....

Thanks....

Bob

CAFTA Shoot Rules

Wind reading options
To assist shooters reading the wind the available options are :
Wind indicator (string or similar) attached to the rifle.
Target string.
No additional equipment, electronic or other, may be used to assist the shooter in evaluating the wind or other weather conditions.

Does this mean that a string or ribbon can be attached to the targets?

Got an e-mail from Tim and we both agree there should be no wind flags on the range during a match. It is stated some what in CAFTA Rules but needs to be fully clarified in the rules. That being said it is then left up to the match director to make the final call. The version of the rules listed on here is old, look on FTCentral.com for a more up dated version.
