I got 2 of em, one I got is old school with the brown grips, the other is fairly new......

They both do the same thing, even with new magazines and new index lever.

Make sure you seat the pellets deep enough so the tail end of pellets dont stick out past the back of clip...

Next you can try and lighten up the little spring on the plastic nozzle that comes in contact with the clip, dont go too light or you end up with pressure loss.......

Could also try a small washer on the spindle before you put on clip...

Not my favorite guns to shoot at all becasue of that.....I usually cock the hammer with one hand and with the other I make sure the clip rotatated before I pull the trigger.....

Too bad, they are well known for that problem, kinda defeats the purpose of having a revolver though, I mean one in each hand guns ablazing is fun, so is holding down the trigger and fanning the hammer.....

you can try to pop it apart and put a blob of hot glue behind the flat plastic piece the pushes the cylinder around , make sure that it is clean and the advancer is farther forward then usuall . this works well and it's cheep

message for thoes replacing the indexing finger in there 357 there are 2 different indexing fingers for the 357 and both are totaly different and putting the wronge one in your gun will also cause this same problem to happen , so be very sure of the print you look at when ordering the parts crosman made alot of changes in the 357 over the years

the finger to the naked eye looks the same but they are not the same at all
