Decided to punch some paper last night with my IZH-46M shooting from a bag rest and BSA red dot sight. The first two five shot strings were off target to the right, which kind of irked me as I have had no need to adjust this sight in over a year. Two clicks of adjustment and the shot string was hugging the outside of the ten ring. One more click and a fresh target and the next five shots gave me one hole .125in about as centred on the bullseye as can be.Now I know these 61yr. old eyes are not that good and this was one big fluke that I will properly never repeat in my lifetime, but damn that was a grin producer!

First "serious" air rifle I got was the Daisy 853c. I couldn't hit the broad side of a bull's butt with my Crosman 2289 or my QB57. I put in a summer of serious daily practice with the Daisy. On my 58th birthday I lined up five pencils at ten meters. I loaded a five shot clip and shot from military kneeling position. One pencil didn't break clean because I had the grain turned the wrong way....but all five had a dent smack in the middle of the brass of the eraser. Does wonders for your confidence.

Gee... You youngsters are doing really welll. (Sorry, are there two or three LLs in there?).
Some days I shoot great some others... Lousy. But at 73 I take the pleasures as I can get them.
