Had a 2100 hanging on the wall for quite some time. I was never too interested in it because even at 15 pumps it was pretty anemic. Well, tonight I was a bit bored so I thought I'd tear it apart and see what made it tick. YOUCH!!!........lots of little parts and springs........that go all over the place. Anyway, I opened up the valve and changed the spring. I did notice that the valve has a 'square' plunger pin........which allows for blowback and loss of power. Even at that, I put it back together (eventually  ) and ran it over the chrony. I was quite impressed to note that just changing the valve spring booted it up to 484 at 5 pumps. I couldn't get a chrony reading at 10 pumps but I assume that it was very close to 500fps

Does anyone know of a fix for the square valve plunger pin problem??? Are there valves that will fit that have the round pin?

Cheers - Gus :D
